Job summary

HR Recruit is assisting an organisation in the engineering sector to recruit a maternity-cover HR Advisor in Glasgow. The role is part-time (22–24 hours per week) on a 13-month fixed-term contract, with a hybrid working pattern and a salary range of £36,000–£50,000 (FTE).

You will provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, with support from an external HR Consultancy. This role reports to the Managing Director and involves working closely with employees and line managers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle.
• Strong administration and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers as first point of contact.
• Handle recruitment and onboarding, including adverts, offers and pre-employment checks.
• Support managers with probation, absence, performance and ER matters.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Prepare HR letters, contracts and other correspondence.
• Assist with annual pay reviews and bonus administration.
• Generate HR reports for senior management.
• Support day-to-day HR processes and related activities.
