Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a part-time catering assistant to join our hospital kitchens in Livingston.

Working two days per week (Saturday 8am–4.20pm and Sunday 8am–5pm), you will help prepare meals, support service delivery, and maintain kitchen and dining areas in line with food safety standards.

Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours, and we will provide reasonable adjustments and support for applicants, with appointments subject to the usual NHS recruitment checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of food stuffs and portioning as part of meal production.
• Support the operation and cleanliness of kitchens, dining rooms and all associated equipment.
• Assist with the distribution and service of meals and snacks to patients, staff and visitors.
