Job summary

B&Q Barnstaple is seeking a Customer Advisor for a part-time role (15 hours per week) on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Shifts span 7.00am to 10.00pm, including weekends. The notional hourly rate is £13.10. You’ll help customers with their home improvement needs and support stock, displays and store presentation.

Training in paint-mixing and timber cutting is available, but exceptional customer service is the main goal. Join a team committed to helping customers create homes they’ll love.

Qualifications

• Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement.
• Friendly and outgoing, you get a buzz from helping others.
• Willing to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sales will be important, as will managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure the store looks great.
• You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.
