Job summary

Brookside Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with HLTA responsibilities to join a nurturing, inclusive team. You will support KS1 learning in the mornings and undertake HLTA duties three afternoons weekly, with opportunities to work in EYFS or KS2.

Training and progression support are offered within a collaborative environment. The role emphasises SEND support, strong literacy/numeracy skills, and a proactive, flexible approach to daily school life.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational or childcare setting.
• Ability to support children with SEND.
• GCSE English & Maths at least grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake HLTA training.

Responsibilities

• Support Key Stage 1 learning in mornings through targeted interventions and small groups.
• Lead HLTA responsibilities three afternoons per week during teachers' PPA time.
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons with class teachers to ensure high-quality learning.
• Occasionally cover classroom duties and provide flexibility as needed.
