Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced HLTA for a part-time role in an Accrington primary school. The HLTA will support across the primary age range, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide targeted help to pupils, including SEND support, while maintaining positive behaviour and routines.

The role focuses on PPA, class cover, and interventions, with collaboration across teachers and the SENCO to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and activities to whole classes.
• Provide PPA and class cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Lead small-group interventions in Maths, English and Phonics.
• Provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain routines.
• Adapt activities to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and feed back to class teachers.
• Encourage pupils to become confident and independent learners.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a part-time role within a supportive primary school?

We are currently looking for a confident, enthusiastic and reliable HLTA to support one of our primary schools in the Accrington area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA who enjoys taking on additional responsibility while still working closely with pupils across the primary age range.

As a Part-Time HLTA, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering planned lessons and activities to whole classes
• Providing PPA and class cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Leading small-group interventions in Maths, English and Phonics
• Providing targeted support to pupils who may need additional help
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
