Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for part-time HGV Drivers for Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) to join our agency and work for various clients around the SK postcode area. As the busy season approaches, we are looking to add experienced HGV Drivers to support our client base. Work is available Monday through Friday, with candidates typically working 2-3 days a week. During peak times, more days may be offered. We are flexible with days and hours, and can accommodate your availability. Start times usually range between 5am and 8am.

We have been operating for 40 years and pride ourselves on quality service. Our roles include haulage, flatbed work, day and night shifts, with over 40 customers supplied weekly.

Responsibilities of this HGV Driver role include:

1. Driving HGV vehicles responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws.
2. Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
3. Maintaining communication with Branch Managers regarding progress.
4. Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.

Requirements for our HGV Drivers:

1. Full UK Driving Licence.
2. Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2) or CE Licence (HGV Class 1).
3. Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
4. No DD, DR, IN, TT endorsements.
5. At least 6 months relevant driving experience preferred.
6. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Pay Rates:

Class 1 Rates: £17.59 per hour and £23.53 overtime (after 8 hours). The rates include holidays accrued within the hourly rate. If you prefer to accrue holidays separately, the rate is £15.70 per hour and £21 overtime.

Class 2 Rates: £15.68 per hour and £22.05 overtime (after 8 hours). These rates also include holiday accrual; for separate holiday accrual, the rates are £14.70 per hour and £19.68 overtime.
