Job description

Role: HGV Class 2
Salary: 16.15 per hour including holiday pay ( 14.40 with accrued holiday pay)
Location: South Manchester, Salford, Trafford Park, Urmston, Irlam and Carrington
Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit

We are currently recruiting 3 x HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established flooring company based in Irlam. They require three temporary (working 5-days per week), customer facing HGV Class 2 driver on a long-term contract with the honest possibility of a FULL TIME PERMANENT ROLE on successful completion of probationary period.

The successful Class 2 Driver will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, and physically fit as this is a demanding role. Carrying out approximately 10-15 deliveries per day of carpets, laminate flooring etc, to retail outlets around the northwest. Start time is 07:00 am to approx. 16:00 with some overtime.

HGV Class 2 Driver responsibilities:

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

HGV Class 2 Driver requirements:

• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
• Cat-C Licence (HGV Class 2)
