Job summary

Amersham Health Centre in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, seeks a part-time Healthcare Assistant with primary care or community experience to join our team. The role is around 21 hours per week across Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, supporting nurses and clinicians in a busy GP practice.

You will perform phlebotomy, carry out blood pressure, ECGs, height/weight/BMI, urinalysis, wound care and NHS Health Checks, under supervision, ensuring patient confidentiality and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in primary or community care
• Care certificate
• Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy
• ECG recording
• Basic observation recording
• Basic dressings
• Wound care management using aseptic technique
• Urinalysis
• New patient and NHS Health Checks including blood pressure, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis, smoking status and other lifestyle factors
• Ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to infection control guidelines
