Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking a Part-time Hourly Paid Community Teacher for Health & Social Care to join Lancashire Adult Learning. The role involves delivering career-focused programmes to adults, with teaching across classroom and online delivery, and managing online learner caseloads on our platform.

The post is based at Accrington & Rossendale College with travel across Lancashire. An enhanced DBS check is required; the candidate may be an experienced practitioner or a newly

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment)

Responsibilities

• Deliver all elements of substantial career focussed programmes including teaching, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment.
• Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning for primarily classroom and some online delivery and/or assessment.
• Develop and share resources with the team
• Support, develop and assess learner work on accredited provision at a range of levels
• Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
• Contribute towards the quality assurance processes of the team
