Job summary

Blackburn College seeks a part-time Lecturer in Hair and Media Make Up. The role involves teaching Level 2 and Level 3 Hair and Media Makeup, contributing to curriculum development and ensuring high standards of learner achievement and pastoral support.

You will hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, Level 2 English & Maths, a teaching qualification, and an A1 Assessors Qualification or be prepared to obtain one. Industrial experience is essential.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 (or equivalent) in an industry-related qualification.
• Level 2 in English & Maths or equivalent.
• A recognised teaching qualification is required.
• A1 Assessors Qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Teach on Level 2 and Level 3 Hair and Media Makeup courses.
• Contribute to curriculum design/development and quality provision.
• Provide pastoral support to learners and monitor retention and achievement.
