Job summary

NHS Jobs is recruiting for a Salaried General Practitioner on a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2027 at Arden House Medical Practice in Derbyshire. The role is 1 day per week (preferably Friday) with some flexibility. Salary depends on experience and BMA guidance.

The GP will provide face-to-face, telephone and online consultations, and will manage patients with acute, chronic and complex conditions, ensuring high standards of care and appropriate referrals when needed.

Qualifications

• Maintain professional registration and comply with GMC requirements.
• Maintain appropriate indemnity arrangements.
• Participate in appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face, telephone and online consultations, assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute, chronic and complex conditions.
• Provide holistic, patient-centred care and develop management plans in partnership with patients and carers.
• Refer patients to secondary care or other relevant services when clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe prescribing and follow-up.
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other colleagues; participate in meetings and reviews.
• Identify and report risks, safeguarding concerns and patient safety issues.
