Job summary

Neston Surgery is seeking a motivated GP to join our forward-thinking team for 2 sessions per week on a Friday. This fixed-term role offers patient-centred care within a welcoming practice serving the local community.

You will manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, provide face-to-face and telephone consultations, and work with our multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. UK GP registration and completed training are required.

Qualifications

• GMC registration required.
• Completed UK General Practice Training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general medical services to patients registered with the Practice.
• Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medication safely and appropriately in accordance with current legislation and local prescribing guidance.
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.
• Request, interpret and act upon investigations.
• Provide home visits where clinically appropriate.
• Participate in the management of patients with long-term conditions.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous electronic clinical records using the Practice clinical system.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up of investigations, referrals and correspondence.
• Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in significant event reviews and clinical meetings.
• Report incidents, complaints and safety concerns in accordance with Practice policy.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control procedures.
