Job summary

Leeds City College is seeking a part-time Teacher of Computer Games to join the Digital Arts department at Quarry Hill Campus in Leeds. The post is 29.6 hours per week, fixed term to July 2027, with a pro rata salary of £25,532 to £28,729 per year.

You will plan lessons, deliver engaging sessions across game engines, 3D modelling, art and programming, and track progress while contributing to a supportive, team-focused learning environment for 16–19 students.

Qualifications

• Relevant up-to-date knowledge of your subject specialism.
• Qualified to degree level in Media Studies, Computer Games or a related discipline.
• Hold, or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Planning delivery of the subject matter, creating lessons and teaching resources in line with the curriculum objectives.
• Teaching the principles and practical skills to help students pursue careers in digital and media industries.
• Tracking student progress and providing feedback to support development.
• Working as part of a team to create a nurturing, positive environment for learners.
