Job summary

Leeds City College, part of Luminate Education Group, is recruiting a Teacher of Computer Games to join the Digital Arts department on a part-time fixed-term basis until July 2027. The role covers 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with a pro rata salary of £25,532 to £28,729 per annum.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering to groups aged 16-19, and tracking student progress while contributing to department success. A relevant degree and teaching qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Media Studies, Computer Games or related discipline.
• Hold or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification.
• Enthusiastic and committed to department growth.
• Experience delivering to groups of young people.

Responsibilities

• Planning delivery of the subject matter and creating lessons and resources.
• Teaching principles and practical skills for digital/media careers.
• Tracking student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Working as part of a team to foster a nurturing learning environment.
