Job summary

Harrogate Homeless Project is seeking a Financial Controller to join our senior team in Harrogate. This part-time role (15 hours per week) will oversee all financial activity, ensure charity compliance, and provide strategic financial insight to support growth and service delivery for people experiencing homelessness.

Strong technical financial expertise and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day financial management of the charity.
Prepare timely management accounts and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with charity accounting regulations and SORP.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
Manage cashflow and support risk management.
Prepare year-end accounts and coordinate audits.
Monitor grant income, restricted funds and project budgets.
Provide financial guidance to senior management and trustees.
Supervise the Finance Officer and oversee payroll and systems.
Manage finance-related contracts and software subscriptions.
Support fundraising with financial information for grants and reports.
Collaborate across departments to support organisational objectives.
