Archangel Autonomy Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant to own day-to-day financial activities from a base in Oxford. You’ll work with the Finance Lead and COO to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and keep accounts running smoothly in a fast-growing start-up.

The role is 30 hours across 5 days, potentially expanding to full-time as demand grows. Strong QuickBooks, UK payroll, and Excel skills are essential, with a focus on accuracy and reliability.

Qualificações

• At least 1 year of experience using QuickBooks.
• At least 2 years of experience in Finance.
• Experience processing UK monthly payroll.
• Confident Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Finance & Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and manage supplier invoices, expenses, and payments.
• Accounts: Monitor accounts payable and receivable, review historical accounting issues, and support month-end reporting, VAT preparation, and year-end activities.
• Payroll: Process monthly UK payroll, maintain employee payroll and pension records, and complete reconciliations and required submissions.
• Purchasing & Procurement: Support the Finance Lead/CFO with purchasing, invoice matching, receipt management, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Process Improvement: Maintain financial spreadsheets and documentation, helping improve accounting and purchasing processes as new systems are introduced.
