Job summary

Arlington Resource Management Ltd in London is assisting an international educational charity and membership organisation to recruit a Finance & Operations Director/Financial Controller on a part-time basis (3–4 days) with hybrid working, including one day in the London office.

The role reports to the Board and oversees day-to-day accounting, membership and donations revenue, monthly management accounts, annual accounts, and governance obligations, with oversight of overseas subsidiaries and HR

Qualifications

• Not-for-profit/charity sector experience is required.
• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ACMA) is required.
• Part-time role with hybrid working (3–4 days, one day in London office).

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance and day to day accounting (2 bookkeepers reporting in).
• Oversee recording/reporting of membership revenue and charity/donations/events revenue.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and multicurrency budgets.
• Preparation of annual accounts, liaising with external auditors and advisers.
• Ensure relevant financial policies and controls are in place and meet regulatory requirements.
• Oversee legal and governance issues, Companies House and Charity Commission reporting.
• Monitor overseas subsidiaries and local bookkeepers in the relevant countries.
• Monitor HR policies including contracts of employment, job specs etc.
• Liaise with stakeholders and international professional network of members.

Part Time Finance Director / Financial Controller / Finance & Operations - this International Educational Charity and Membership Organisation seeks a Finance & Operations Director/ Financial Controller. The organisation has a small team of staff with revenues c£2-3m.

The role is part time (3-4 days) and hybrid (one day in London office).
The Finance & Operations Director/ Financial Controller role reports to the Board and will include:
