Job summary

SmartImpact is seeking an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, manage fixed costs, time-and-materials projects, and accounting for software product development. You will work closely with our full-time accountant, assisting with budgeting, planning, forecasting and month-end close.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years finance or accounting experience.
• At least 2 years in software development or a related industry.
• Proficiency with financial management software and tools.
• CPA or CIMA accreditation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with SmartImpact’s strategic goals.
• Manage accounting for fixed costs, time-and-materials projects, and software product development budgets.
• Monitor financial performance metrics, cash flow, and profitability.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and present actionable insights to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting standards.
• Partner with departmental leaders to allocate resources effectively and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement and optimise financial systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to support SmartImpact’s growth in the software and technology sector.
