Job summary

Howett Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Guildford is seeking a Part Time Finance Manager to oversee the finance function with 1 direct report, reporting to the CEO. The role offers hybrid working with two in-office days and a focus on strategic financial leadership.

The successful candidate will manage monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts, payroll and controls, while driving improvements and ensuring governance standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Fully qualified/QBE candidates will be considered.
• Experience in using Xero would be beneficial.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and provide financial leadership to the organisation.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee payroll, pensions, cash flow management and financial controls.
• Support strategic planning through the provision of accurate financial insight and analysis.
• Review and improve financial systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, governance standards and internal controls.
• Build effective relationships with senior leadership, trustees and non-finance stakeholders.
• Support and develop finance team members while fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.

Part Time Finance Manager – About The Role

In this role you will be managing 1 member of staff and will be reporting into the CEO. You will take full ownership of the finance function and your responsibilities will be:
