Job summary

Highland Hospice in Inverness is seeking a Finance Assistant for 20-22.5 hours per week. The role covers ledger processing, petty cash and banking, with duties in Xero and Pleo, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The post requires accuracy, strong IT skills and the ability to work Monday, Thursday and Friday, with some flexibility for workloads. Salary £29,103–£31,409 pro-rata; closing date 13 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be highly motivated with keen eye for detail.
• Experience in purchase & sales ledger processing.
• Proficiency with IT and account software (Xero, Pleo).

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales ledger invoices promptly and accurately.
• Handle petty cash, credit card expenditure and income postings.
• Prepare banking and supplier payments runs for authorisation.
• Raise and process invoices and remittance advices.
• Monthly reconciliation of cash balances and banking.
