Job Description

The Part Time Finance Administrator duties will include:

  • Ownership of the Purchase Ledger including checking invoices are authorised correctly and raising payments
  • Ownership of the Sales Ledger including raising invoices as required, allocating receipts to invoices and working with the finance and operational team to resolve invoice queries
  • Ensure timely payment for all invoices and timely chasing on overdue payments
  • Bank reconciliations processing
  • Analysing and checking income received from local authorities highlighting to Finance Managers where amounts received are incorrect
  • Cash processing and preparation for banking
  • Processing of monthly credit card returns and analysis of costs
  • Handle queries from suppliers and stakeholders professionally
  • Ensuring all financial records are stored and archived appropriately
  • Ad hoc analysis and support with projects as required

The Successful Applicant

A successful Part Time Finance Administrator should have:

  • Experience in a similar role within the Accounting & Finance department
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage workload effectively in a part-time capacity

  • Part-time hours of circa 30 hours. Ideally this is spread across 5 days
