Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is recruiting a fixed term, part-time Family & Systemic Psychotherapist (Band 7) to join the Moods, Emotions andRelationships (MERS) and Managing Eating Disorder pathway. The 0.8 wte (30 hours) post supports children, young people and families with complex emotional health challenges and eating difficulties, within a supportive multidisciplinary setting.

The role offers supervision, CPD opportunities, and a collaborative team culture with family-focused practice,

Qualifications

• Masters level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy.
• Active UKCP registration as Systemic and Family Therapist.
• Post qualification specialist therapy/assessment training for children and young people.
• Post qualification training or proven supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete systemic assessments to inform care planning for children and young people referred to MERs (CAMHS).
• Provide evidence-based systemic therapy in line with NICE guidance.
• Manage a caseload of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health needs with supervised progression for trainees.
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues and partner agencies.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
• Maintain clear clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
