Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join the Property team working in student accommodation. You will contribute to general maintenance and ensure high standards of service across our residences.

The role is part-time (19 hours per week) with a 5 over 7 days schedule and an open-ended contract. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential for delivering excellent support to students and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience, follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for general maintenance and condition of the student accommodation properties.
• Provide support services to both student and commercial guest accommodation.
• Adhere to working hours and participate in occasional weekend work when required.
