Job summary

Arrow Industrial Group in the UK is seeking a Part-Time Desk-Based Estimator to join the regional operations team. The role focuses on estimating, cost quotation, and commercial support for industrial doors, gates and related systems, with some site visits but predominantly office-based.

You will work closely with Regional Management and Service Coordination, preparing accurate proposals, handling customer liaison, and contributing to profitable growth across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, internal sales, commercial coordination or similar office-based roles.
• Experience producing quotations, pricing schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing profitability with customer requirements.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates, proposals and scope of works for doors, loading bays, gates and barriers.
• Review enquiries, drawings and specifications to develop commercially viable solutions.
• Assess repair, replacement and upgrade opportunities; ensure quotations are technically sound.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers, Service Coordinators and Engineers to price works accurately.
• Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and convert opportunities into orders.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and margin improvement.
• Support regional sales and service operations with technical and commercial input on bids and tenders.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and ensure smooth handover to operations.
