Staffline is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE across a Gloucestershire site in a tightly regulated engineering and manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Site Director, you will own health, safety and compliance, develop policies, conduct audits and incidents investigations, and drive continuous improvement with operations, engineering and facilities teams. A NEBOSH National General Certificate and IOSH Managing Safety are required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent.
• Experience leading health & safety in manufacturing or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and management systems.
• Experience in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.

Responsabilités

• Lead health and safety strategy and continuous improvement across the site.
• Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and systems.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and best practice.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments and contractor management.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes and implement actions.
• Deliver HSE training and promote employee engagement in safety.
• Monitor and report HSE metrics and KPIs.
• Support safe introduction of new equipment and processes.
• Manage and support occupational health activities.
• Act as primary point of contact for day-to-day health and safety matters.

A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation supplying highly regulated global industries is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join its Gloucestershire operation.

Reporting directly to the Site Director, the successful Health and Safety Manager will take ownership of health, safety and compliance activities across the site, working closely with operational, engineering and facilities teams to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Main Duties: Health & Safety Manager

• Leading the site's health and safety strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures and management systems.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable HSE legislation and best practice.
• Conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and contractor management activities.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Delivering HSE training and promoting employee engagement in safety initiatives.
• Monitoring and reporting HSE performance metrics and KPIs.
• Supporting the safe introduction of new equipment, products and processes.
• Managing and supporting occupational health activities.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all day-to-day health and safety matters.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Health & Safety Manager

• A holder of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, aviation or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and management systems.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to coach, influence and engage employees at all levels.
