Job summary

Teaching Tomorrow is seeking a Compliance Officer in Bedford to join a growing team. You will manage candidate compliance from registration to clearance for work, ensuring safeguarding and DBS checks are completed.

The ideal candidate has experience in recruitment compliance or education recruitment, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication. This is a part-time, permanent role at 25 hours per week with a salary up to £22,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance or administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with safer recruitment or DBS checks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage candidate compliance from registration to clearance for work.
• Review identification, qualifications and registration documents.
• Request, check and chase employment references.
• Complete right-to-work checks and administer DBS applications.
• Monitor safeguarding checks and mandatory training.
• Maintain candidate records in recruitment CRM.
• Liaise with candidates to obtain outstanding documents and resolve queries.
• Support compliance for schools, academy trusts and third-party platforms.
• Work with recruitment consultants to move onboarding efficiently.
• Identify missing or expired documentation and escalate before placement.
