Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to work across Family Hubs in Ashfield North, Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will plan and deliver engaging play and learning activities for children aged 0–9, while supporting families and collaborating with partners to improve outcomes.

You will have at least two years’ experience with young children, hold NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, and have a full driving licence. This role is office-based with flexibility in the local area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience working with children aged 0–5 and their families.
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent).
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver play and learning activities for children.
• Work with parents as their child’s first educator.
• Assess and record children’s development and contribute to evaluations.
• Promote inclusive practices and support children with SEND.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to improve outcomes for families.
• Engage with diverse and seldom-heard families, ensuring inclusion.
