Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council in Oban are seeking a Classroom Assistant for the Dunbeg Primary School ELC. The role is 12 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, supporting children in learning, development, and wellbeing within the Early Learning and Childcare team.

You will help create a safe, welcoming environment and work closely with staff to recognise and support individual needs, contributing to positive outcomes for local children.

Qualifications

• PVG Membership required for working with children.
• The salary shown is the full-time equivalent; actual salary will be pro-rated for hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Support children across indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
• Prepare and organise resources and assist with routines and transitions.
• Provide individual or small-group support as required, working with Early Years staff to meet needs.
