Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Llanelli is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our busy furniture stores on a part‑time basis (14 hours per week). The role offers variety in a fast-paced retail environment and requires flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota.

You will organise donated items, move deliveries, keep the shop floor stocked, and help ensure safety and wellbeing. No prior retail experience is required, and you will gain hands‑on experience supporting volunteers and

Qualifications

• Retail or customer-service experience isn’t essential.
• Able to guide volunteers and work in a team.
• Able to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
• Attention to detail in all tasks.
• Comfortable with manual handling of large items and stock.

Responsibilities

• Organise donated items and prepare them for sale; move deliveries.
• Keep the shop floor well stocked.
• Follow safety regulations and promote health, safety and wellbeing.
• Identify unsaleable donations for recycling.
• Keep stockroom tidy and organised.
