Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a Part-time Domestic Assistant for Beechside Residential Unit. The role covers general cleaning across lounges, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, stairs, and office areas. You will also assist with laundry and report defects as needed during shifts.

The post requires previous domestic/cleaning experience, flexibility with duties, and the ability to work 5 hours per week (Tuesday 9.00am–2.00pm). DBS checks apply and Right to Work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Has previous domestic and laundry experience in a residential or similar setting.
• Willing to undertake a wide range of cleaning and laundry tasks and to be flexible with other duties.

• Carry out general cleaning of lounges, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, stairs, corridors and office areas.
• Process laundry and report any defects in furniture or equipment to shift leader.
