Job description

Housekeeping Assistant (Part Time)

Location: Copper Beech Care Home, Eastbourne Road, Ridgewood, Uckfield TN22 5ST

Contract: 18 hours per week, with two shift options – 7:30 am to 1:30 pm or 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Pay: £12.80 – £13.80 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
• Vacuum, mop floors, polish, and generally maintain the upkeep of all communal areas and residents’ bedrooms.
• Maintain housekeeping stocks for day‑to‑day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Take pride in ensuring work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment.
• Comfortable with multitasking and managing multiple requests simultaneously.
• Ability to work with other teams to support residents in the care home.
