Job summary

Asda George is seeking an experienced Senior Designer for Ladies Lingerie on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This part-time role (15 hours per week) focuses on researching and developing new ranges while executing on-trend designs to appeal to the George customer.

You will collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure quality, style and value across the ranges. You will lead trend research, work with UK and overseas suppliers, and coach junior designers while maintaining design excellence.

• Significant experience within a retail or supply-base fashion design environment.
• Strong track record of researching and producing innovative designs aligned with customer needs.
• Confidence working with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi-category products.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Innovative approach and willingness to drive a more digital working style across product areas.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer for our Ladies Lingerie category to join us at George, Working closely with and supporting your Commercial team, you will be accountable for researching and developing exciting new ranges, executing the latest trends that will appeal to the George customer and supporting on general design requirements. This is a 12 month fixed term contract and part time (2 days per week)

You will play a pivotal role in the design strategy, planning and designing product, ensuring quality, style and value is consistently delivered across the ranges.

Your Role

We want to know what you think. As a Designer you will have the ability to spot up and coming trends as well as commercial opportunities, you will lead the research of new trends and market information, informing our decision making and driving product development, whilst keeping the George customer at the heart of what we do.

You'll be a role model and provide coaching to our junior members of the team , supporting them in their own development and empowering them to design ranges that make people feel good.

• A broad knowledge of CAD software (including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) as well as a strong critical path understanding will be key
