Are you someone who works with honesty and integrity? Do you have a desire to provide a high level of customer service even during the most emotive conversations?

We are looking for part time Customer Service Advisors to join our team working in a fast paced environment, answering incoming calls to the MOJ and HMPPS Switchboard. This hybrid switchboard takes calls from government run prisons across England and Wales. No experience is required for this role as thorough training is provided. However, we are looking for individuals who are emotionally resilient and compassionate.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, working on a part time basis, 16 hours per week. Your working hours will consist of one weekday evening 3pm-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 5.5hours rotation. The weekend shift rotation is between 7am-5pm and weekend shifts are remote. There is also the possibility to work 2 x 8 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

When working from home we expect the same level of professionalism as when you are in the office, free from distractions and always ready to take your next call.

What you'll be doing:

  • Answering all incoming calls.
  • Using the internal system to provide an accurate and timely response, or escalating queries where applicable.
  • Being customer focused at all times ensuring that excellent customer service is provided on all calls.
  • Being a part of process and service improvements whether through suggestion or implementation.
  • Working as part of a strong team, delivering results during peak times where calls are peaking.
  • Being proactive in resolving queries both accurately and quickly.
