Job summary

Bramley Care is seeking an enthusiastic Part-time Cook/Chef to join our 24-bed luxury residential home in Stalbridge, Dorset. You will prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary needs are met and residents are well cared for in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The role involves engaging with residents, baking occasional treats and working as part of a supportive team. Previous care-home catering and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are preferred; Level 2 Diploma is an advantage but

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cook/chef experience in a care/home environment.
• Experience catering for specialist diets and large groups.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious hot and cold meals.
• Meet dietary requirements of residents and tailor menus accordingly.
• Engage with residents to understand individual needs and preferences.
• Provide wholesome meals and homemade cakes/bakes as part of the daily service.
• Work as part of the home team to ensure a positive dining experience for all residents.

The Old Rectory, a 24 bed luxury residential care home in Stalbridge, Dorset, is currently looking to recruiting a part-time Cook/Chef to join their team.

Your main responsibilities will include preparing, cooking and serving delicious, nutritious, healthy hot and cold food, to meet the dietary requirements of our residents. You will get to know our lovely residents and enjoy providing them with wholesome meals and home made cakes and bakes.

The successful candidate should have at least one years previous experience as a cook in a similar environment and catering for specialist diets, providing meals for large groups of people, alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Ideally, you will also hold a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent but this is not essential. You’ll be confident in engaging with our residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.

Hours:

Part‑time to be discussed at interview. 24 hrs per week to include alternate weekends.

Rate of pay:
