Job summary

Weston College in Filton, Bristol, is expanding with the new AMTEC facility and seeks a part-time Lecturer in Computer Programming to deliver Python, C and C++ teaching to apprenticeship cohorts.

The role is 15 hours per week with Monday and Tuesday as full teaching days. You will provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment and mentor students toward progression into employment or further study within the College.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification, or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Knowledge of Python, C and C++ programming.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across programmes.
• Tutorship of students and support for attendance and progression.
• Aid attainment targets through monitoring student progress.
• Provide guidance on progression to employment or further study.
• Apply current teaching strategies.
