Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board in Welshpool is seeking a Band 6 Midwife on a 12-month fixed term, part-time 22.5 hours per week. You will provide care across preconception, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods and manage your own caseload within the continuity of care model.

You will work autonomously within NICE guidelines, support women and families, and access ongoing professional development and training opportunities within a supportive maternity service.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with knowledge of Midwifery 20:20 and All Wales Normal Labour Pathway.
• Post Registration education and updating in line with NMC fitness to practice.
• Homebirth experience and ability to lead in obstetric emergencies.
• Fetal heart monitoring and neonatal examination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for women and families across preconception to postnatal.
• Manage own caseload using continuity of care model.
• Work autonomously within NICE guidelines and local professional practice.
• Support ongoing professional development and access to training.
