Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Ealing is seeking an experienced Psychologist to provide assessments and individual & group therapy for adults with complex mental health needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a welcoming, non-institutional environment.

The role involves collaboration with staff, families and external agencies, risk assessment and treatment planning, plus potential involvement in service development and clinical research.

Qualifications

• An experienced Psychologist with adult mental health experience.
• Experienced in working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledgeable of mental health legislation, risk assessment and risk management principles.
• Preferably trained in Schema-focused therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and DBT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups.
• Work systemically with staff, as well as directly with service users.
• Consult with staff, families & other agencies about the psychological care of the client group.
• Offer psychological insight & knowledge to the multidisciplinary team.
• Support the clinical, nursing & direct care teams in making skilled evaluations & decisions about risk.
• Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research.
