Job summary

The Oxford Climate Research Network (OCRN) Coordinator role is a part-time, fixed-term position in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford. The coordinator will develop and administer OCRN initiatives, driving collaboration among climate researchers across the University of Oxford.

You will organise networking events, termly steering group meetings, and lunches; prepare termly reports; maintain the member database; and manage OCRN’s annual budget.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in climate research, impacts and policy and/or in science management and communication.
• Experience planning and running events, managing finances, and handling website and social media content.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, ability to digest complex information and present to non-academic audiences.

Responsibilities

• Organise networking events and termly steering group meetings.
• Prepare termly reports and maintain minutes and the OCRN member database.
• Manage the OCRN annual budget and liaise with university communications for outreach.
