Job summary

Mount Charles is hiring a Cleaning Operative for a Belfast site. The role involves cleaning all areas to standard, using chemicals safely under COSHH, and maintaining equipment with training from a line manager. You’ll report faults, use signage, and keep stores tidy while upholding customer service values.

The position is part-time (6 hours/week) with a friendly, family-oriented team and opportunities for progression within a leading facilities management company.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to follow safety instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in cleaning or facilities support is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas efficiently to required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
• Maintain full knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials and agents.
• Report faulty equipment immediately and mark as used or unsafe.
• Apply safety signage and warn customers where possible; keep stores clean and organized.
