Job summary

Malvern College is seeking a Cleaning Team Leader to join the Domestic Operations team, helping maintain high cleaning standards across the College. You will guide a small team, ensure tasks meet standards and deadlines, carry out quality checks, report defects and health and safety concerns, and manage stock and equipment.

This is a 30-hour per week, 52 weeks a year, permanent role based mainly at Malvern College with occasional work at The Downs Malvern.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cleaning teams or supervisory roles preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in cleaning environments.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and ensure tasks are completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes.
• Respond to operational priorities.
• Carry out quality checks and monitor cleaning performance, addressing issues promptly.
• Report defects, maintenance issues or health and safety concerns, ensuring follow-up actions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, COSHH requirements and safe working practices.
• Maintain stock control and ensure equipment and cleaning materials are used safely.
