Job summary

Newcastle City Council is seeking reliable and friendly cleaners to join our Facility Services team. This site-specific role offers on-site work with full training provided, and no prior experience is required.

The position is 3 hours per week on Saturdays, with an hourly rate of £13.45 and DBS paid. Successful applicants will work at Newcastle City Library and other buildings, with full uniform, equipment and access to staff benefits.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Basic written and spoken English required for chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas such as corridors, classrooms, offices and toilets.
• Use required equipment to mop, vacuum and wipe surfaces.
• Empty bins and manage waste within deadlines.
• Work as part of a team and follow health and safety guidelines.
