Job Opportunity: Cleaner

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team.

This is a 3-month fixed-term, part-time position (start date 1.9.2024, end date 30.11.2024), working 25 hours per week from 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. The salary is £15,654.78 per annum.

This role involves cleaning designated areas in our student accommodation, including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens, and all white goods in the kitchens.

Responsibilities include:

• Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpets, sweeping and polishing floors, and cleaning stairs
• Washing walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate
• Emptying waste bins and removing rubbish from flats to bin store areas
• During the summer season only: Making beds, stripping and changing sheets, collecting laundered linen, and packing laundry for collection
• Cleaning internal and external windows where applicable
• Cleaning and washing glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils as appropriate
• Daily communication with residents, Residence Managers, and UPP staff
• Adhering to all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times

Requirements: Experience in cleaning in a similar environment, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for doing an excellent job. Good conversational English and the ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance are essential. Flexibility to work at other sites and additional hours during peak times, especially student arrival and departure weekends, is required.
