Job summary

Accountancy Expertise Ltd is seeking a part-time Management Accountant for a locally based charity in the United Kingdom. The role is around 24 hours per week, typically 3 days, with hybrid working from the charity offices in Chichester and some remote work.

You will support the finance function across entities, handling bookkeeping, financial accounting, and administration for trusts and subsidiaries. Prior charity accounting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of financial management and control ideally for charities.
• Good written & verbal communication abilities.
• Strong team-working skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
• Experience in preparing management accounts and budgets is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial accounting records in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual budgets for Director and Finance Committee.
• Reconcile Cash and Bank Accounts for posting to accounts records.
• Maintain payroll and pensions information and reports for 3rd party staff.
