Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Chaplain to provide spiritual and pastoral care across the Trust. You will respond to referrals, visit wards, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for urgent and emergency care, including bereavement support.

The role requires theological training, healthcare chaplaincy qualifications, and the ability to work ecumenically in a multi-faith context.

Qualifications

• Theological training and knowledge of faith group practices.
• Experience delivering pastoral and spiritual care in healthcare settings.
• Ability to work in ecumenical, multi-faith environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and pastoral care across the Trust, responding to referrals and visiting wards.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota for urgent care and bereavement support.
• Support ethical and religious matters and coordinate with faith communities to ensure inclusive care.
