Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Chaplain to join our Department of Spiritual and Pastoral Care, delivering compassionate spiritual support across the Trust and responding to referrals.

You will participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for urgent and emergency care, provide bereavement support including guiding families through loss, and collaborate with colleagues and external faith communities to ensure inclusive care.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering compassionate spiritual support across a healthcare setting.
• Ability to respond to referrals and provide bereavement care.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse faith communities and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral, spiritual and ethical guidance to patients, families and staff.
• Respond to referrals and visit wards/departments regularly.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for urgent and emergency care.
• Deliver bereavement support, including guidance for pregnancy or baby loss and other bereavement scenarios.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external faith communities to ensure inclusive care.
