Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual and religious support across the Trust. The role involves responding to referrals, visiting wards, and taking part in a 24/7 on-call rota for urgent care.

The successful candidate will play a key part in bereavement care, including coordinating support for families during pregnancy loss, child loss, or other bereavement scenarios, while working in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Theological and pastoral care training relevant to healthcare.
• Experience delivering spiritual support in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work in a multi-faith, diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral, spiritual and religious support across the Trust.
• Respond to referrals and visit wards regularly.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota for urgent care.
• Deliver bereavement support and manage related services.
