Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to be the senior financial leader, shaping capital strategy and guiding major decisions as a privately owned company. This permanent, part-time role will typically require 2–3 days per week, with scope-driven variation.

You will partner with the CEO, Board and executive team to craft funding strategies, manage budgeting and long-range planning, and ensure strong financial controls as the company scales manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Significant CFO experience in scaling technology, life sciences, automation or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong track record of owning budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
• Experience in investor relations at high-growth companies.
• Experience developing capital strategies with equity and debt.
• Ability to move between strategic questions and detailed financial analysis.
• Understanding of capital equipment, consumables, platform or project-based models.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach across technical, commercial and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and capital planning to support growth and shareholder value.
• Partner with CEO, leadership team and Board on strategic choices and value creation.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning with timely insights on runway and scenarios.
• Develop and refine commercial models to align pricing and contracting with growth.
• Oversee controls, reporting, audit and compliance to maintain discipline.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and commercial teams to understand cost drivers.
