Job summary

A care support organization is seeking a Buddy to assist a young adult with mild cerebral palsy in Maidenhead. You will deliver personalized care routines, assist with daily activities, and provide emotional support. Ideal candidates will have experience in care roles and excellent interpersonal skills. About the role

A new opportunity has arisen to join our client in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Our client is a young adult with mild cerebral palsy, who lives alone. He manages his own finances and is at full capacity, but can experience high levels of fatigue. You will support as a Buddy with shopping, activities and administrative tasks when necessary.

Hours: 20 hours per week - 4 hour shifts - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday - either 10-2pm or 11-3pm. There may be adhoc Sunday requirements also.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering personalised care routines
  • Assisting with daily living activities, shopping, and meal preparation
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care
  • A UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
