PSM Recruitment are seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to join our client’s busy restaurant in Dover. You will greet customers, take orders, serve food and drinks, and support the team to keep the dining room running smoothly.

This role suits someone with catering experience, a flexible approach, good communication, and the ability to work well in a team or independently during shifts. 30 hours per week on a rota.

• Previous catering assistant hospitality experience would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and take and serve food and drink orders
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and help create a welcoming atmosphere
• Operate the till, manage the float and complete cashing-up procedures
• Assist the Chefs, Head Chef and General Manager as required
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant and facilities
• Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Complete daily, weekly and deep-cleaning duties
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures
• Promote products and actively upsell to customers where appropriate
• Help ensure food and service are delivered consistently to a high standard
• Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth running of the restaurant
