Job summary

Warren Farm Lodge Birmingham is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team. You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You will follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines, minimise waste, and work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service. Previous catering experience and a caring approach, especially with older people, are valued.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of meals.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are followed.
• Help minimise food waste and use equipment safely.
• Support the catering team and report issues promptly.
